Eko S. Wibowo
Programmer since 1994. Still learning, now with AI at my side.
Founder of RWID. Building Ecosphere and RWID/OS from Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Here I write about software, faith, and life as a system builder. No algorithm, no comment section, no noise.

Setup .. outdoor
The air's warm again
Note: turns out the PC is dead again (no idea why). Waiting for the guy who handles hardware, I'll use the 2015 Macbook for now 😁
Layoff is a mindset problem 😎 https://lnkd.in/g_6jaVdm
A few key requirements to become a programmer:
1. Lazy
2. Comfortable
3. Plan
4. Stubborn
5. Not a math expert 😁
Optimal: I don't know what else to add to this setup anymore. After years of trying all sorts of things, usually it doesn't last 2 weeks, always changing things .. this has been over 4 months and I haven't changed a thing at all. Perfect. And finally found a Jetbrains theme that fits my eyes and is also nostalgic: Fluorescent. The green color is awesome! Ahaha. Maybe it's also available in VSCode. Screenshot of the theme in the comment. Note: yesterday I was thinking of changing the bottom screen to OLED too, but after playing with contrast (I set it higher than brightness): it's close to what I want.
Tapera oh tapera...
As an IT person, when I continued to a Master's in Economics, the first class immediately impressed me: thinking about other people. Empathy. Ten years of undergraduate Computer Science at UGM (a duration that can never be replicated again) .. I had never thought about other people at all. What I was thinking about was OOP, optimization, databases and so on.
Now, home ownership is one of the thorny problems that won't be solved. Because the backlog will definitely keep increasing: because land prices will definitely rise (as the remaining land narrows) and also inflation erodes people's purchasing power.
Messy, right?
Financial hacks for home ownership are always being developed. From the sharia aspect, the problem is even more complicated: because in the house sale-purchase contract, the presence or absence of riba elements must be considered. The judgment that Islamic banking is also still indicated to have riba in home ownership also makes this problem messy.
How do we solve it?
Want me to tell you? Your salary has to be in dollars. Your minimum wage has to be New York's minimum wage.
Done, that settles all the problems above https://remoteworker.id Example: Jogja especially, the 3rd city with the most expensive property prices after Jakarta and Denpasar. Even though it is the city with the 5th lowest minimum wage (cmiiw) in Indonesia. How can someone with a Jogja minimum wage salary be able to buy a house? That's why work remotely abroad (TKI 2.0) and .. export your work results while your body is still in Jogja. You'll be amazed: a salary of 40 million, in a city with a minimum wage of 2 million. You can manage much of the rest to buy land in cash first, then build gradually. It's important to secure the land. The building can follow sometime later.
My current house: ==> https://lnkd.in/gysBpAPv Alhamdulillah, so much.
There's no way that could be caught up to with Jogja's minimum wage..
Pretty interesting for a Location Based Service like this, huh
I already have something I want to put together for RWID Campus
Still a technique about #scrum for those who work alone but also don't want to go brutal adding stuff to the board: just use Child Subtasks :DSo you know what the big tasks are, e.g. RWIDPF-88: Earning Aspect in RWID. https://lnkd.in/gs4FbXE7But inside it, you don't exactly know what's needed either. So, yeah, make it an active task and work on it. If you feel there's a task that's indeed related to this but feels like it has a dominant aspect, then make it a subtask and work on it there.
This way your board is safe from new tasks (no changing things around), but you can still improvise as you go.
Still: improvising in a sprint is discouraged, you know.
If you're not a scrum master, you must report first to them if you want to add tasks/subtasks.
They will decide whether it can be run in this sprint or the next sprint#rwid#rwidplatformdevelopment#golang#jira
AI? Later, maybe. For now, an FAQ alone is already solutive 😁 https://remoteworker.id/aiHitung2an 1 workday is enough for me to implement #llm and #rag#chatgpt
I wanted to demo it during the seminar at UNU Jogja, but didn’t make it in time 😅 Only got it done at 7 this morning though 😅 Check back again at https://remoteworker.id/ai

I'm currently tinkering with modern web dev using just vanilla js. Not using a framework. Now I'm about to get into incremental ui changes. If I were using react, it'd be done in no time: but I'm the type who, when things are too structured, ends up thinking it over first. So, I'll just make my own rules 😁Not to be emulated: because yeah, who'd want to hire someone who codes web with vanilla js. 😁Unless: you manage to build something like react. There. That's it.
